About Eyes Right

Who are we

“Eyes Right” was established in 1991 as a means for the Lions Clubs and Lioness Clubs of District A-1 to pool their resources with the goal of radicating preventable blindness by funding eye surgery equipment for hospitals in Southwestern Ontario. Lions clubs in the communities would assist in identifying the needs of the community hospitals to the foundation.

Our Mission…

To Save & Restore Eyesight!

  • By providing eye health care equipment to hospitals in southwestern Ontario.

  • By promoting the donation of corneal tissue.

What we do…

Since 1991, we have provided over one million dollars for eye health care equipment to hospitals in Windsor, London, Chatham, Sarnia, Petrolia, St. Thomas and Strathroy. Over 15 projects, such as Phaco machines (cataract removal) and a DSAEK (corneal transplant) machine have been funded by Eyes Right.

What you can do…

While most of the funding for Eyes Right projects is provided through fund raising activities by the Lions family, personal donations, memoriam, and estate funds are also welcome and tax receipts will be issue.

Please refer to the Donate page for more information on how you can donate to Eyes Right.
